How can we help?
Quick answers below. Still stuck? Email [email protected] and a human will reply.
Is 500channels really free?
Yes. There is no subscription, no free trial that turns into a bill, and we never ask for a card. 500channels may show short ads to keep it free.
Do I need to sign up?
No. There is no account, email, phone number or password. Open the app and the first channel starts playing.
How do I surf channels?
Tap Surf all, or open any channel. Then swipe up for the next channel and down for the previous one, just like short videos. Tap the screen to show the controls.
Can I jump to a channel number?
Yes. Every channel has a number, like real TV. Open the TV Guide and type a number, or search for a channel name, number or language. News starts at 330, and the full lineup runs from 101 to 904.
A channel isn't playing. What can I do?
Live streams are run by their broadcasters and sometimes go off air. 500channels checks streams in the background, tries a backup feed when one exists and offers to move you to the next channel.
Tap Try again, or pick another feed from the player menu. You can also turn on Hide channels that are off air in the More tab.
What is “Hide insecure channels”?
Some streams don't use an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. They are hidden by default. You can show them from the More tab, but we recommend leaving them hidden.
How do favourites and Continue watching work?
Tap the heart on any channel to add it to Favourites. Channels you watch appear in Continue watching on the Home tab. Both are stored only on your phone.
How much mobile data does it use?
Live video uses data like any streaming app, and the amount depends on each channel's quality. Use Wi-Fi for long sessions. The muted live preview on Home can be turned off in the More tab.
Where do the channels come from?
500channels plays live streams that are publicly available on the internet, as listed by the open-source iptv-org project. We don't host, record or re-encode any video. Each stream plays straight from its broadcaster's or host's servers.
Rights holders can ask us to remove a channel. See our content & copyright page.
Which devices does it work on?
Android phones and tablets running Android 8.0 or newer. Versions for TVs and iPhone aren't available yet. Write to us if you'd like to hear when they are.
Who makes 500channels?
500channels is built by strongmetrics, a consumer app company in Gurugram, Haryana.
How do I delete my data?
Everything 500channels stores lives on your phone. Clear the app's storage or uninstall it. See the delete data page for details.
